Indonesia\'s Envoy on Negotiations on Restrictions on Palm Oil Products continues working visits to the European Union by visiting The Hague, the Netherlands on Thursday (26/4/2018).The Managing Director of the Board of Palm Oil Plantation Fund (BPDPKS) Dono Boestami is in the team meeting a number of related groups. After visiting the Vatican, on Thursday 26 April 2018, the team went on a visit to The Hague, among others to meet the Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Sigrid Kaag.The negotiation team led by Coordinating Minister for the Environment, Luhut B. Panjaitan, delivered a number of issues related to the restriction of palm oil products by the European Union, including restrictions on palm-based biodiesel. In response, Minister Sigrid Kaag offered assistance to Indonesia to resolve several issues related to the environment.The Netherlands is willing to assist oil palm farmers in realizing environmentally sustainable agriculture. Minister Kaag appreciated the efforts undertaken by Indonesia in conducting meetings and explaining the situation of Indonesia in general and oil palm Indonesia.During the meeting, Coordinating Minister Luhut also mentioned about a seminar facilitated by the Vatican in Rome next May to discuss oil palm and its impact on peace and humanity. Minister Kaag expressed his intention to attend.Previously, during a visit to the Vatican on Wednesday (25/04/2018), Luhut and Director of the Pontifical Institute for Justice and Peace, Cardinal Peter Turkson agreed to facilitate a seminar themed Palm Oil Alliance for Humanity and Peace.In addition to oil palm, another thing that is discussed is the Indonesian government\`s efforts in overcoming some environmental problems, one of which is Citarum River. Minister Kaag also offered to assist Indonesia in the management of waste processing and recycling of plastics. From The Hague, the afternoon the Negotiation Team departed to Berlin, Germany.
