Through close cooperation, Indonesia's palm oil industry is expected to tackle global challenges, optimize supply chains, and solidify its position as a key player in the global palm oil sector

Legal Basis
This program is implemented based on several key regulations, including:
- Presidential Regulation No. 132 of 2024 – Assigns BPDPKS the responsibility of establishing institutional cooperation to support effective plantation fund management.
- Minister of Finance Regulation No. 49/PMK.05/2018 – Regulates the mechanism for utilizing BPDPKS funds in supporting institutional cooperation programs for the palm oil industry.
- Minister of Industry Regulation No. 14 of 2020 – Encourages collaboration between upstream and downstream industries in developing palm oil-based products.
- Director General of Plantations Decree No. 301/Kpts/KB.410/2021 – Establishes guidelines for cooperation between BPDPKS, academics, and research institutions to drive innovation in the plantation sector.
Program Objectives
This program is designed to:
- Enhance the Effectiveness of Plantation Fund Management – Strengthen coordination between BPDP and government institutions, as well as industry partners, to ensure efficient fund distribution and utilization.
- Promote Research and Innovation Synergy – Connect academia and industry to foster research and implement the latest technologies in the plantation sector.
- Improve Institutional Capacity and Governance – Facilitate collaboration between farmer associations, cooperatives, and plantation companies to enhance productivity and business sustainability.
Program Scope
The Institutional Cooperation Program covers several key areas:
- Partnerships with Government and Private Institutions
- Establish cooperation with relevant ministries, local governments, and plantation companies to develop policies and implement strategic programs.
- Enhance coordination in distributing plantation funds to ensure targeted and effective use.
- Collaboration with Academics and Research Institutions
- Support joint research with universities and research institutions to improve productivity and sustainability in the palm oil sector.
- Facilitate the development of new technologies for palm oil processing and product diversification.
- Strengthening Farmer Associations and Institutions
- Provide support for cooperatives and farmer groups to improve institutional capacity, access to financing, and market opportunities.
- Organize training and mentorship programs to enhance the capabilities of palm oil farmer organizations.
- Expanding Market Access and Investment
- Facilitate cooperation between upstream and downstream industry players to enhance the competitiveness of palm oil-based products.
- Encourage investment in processing and distribution to expand domestic and export markets
