
The Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund (BPDPKS) organized coordination meeting to discuss 2019 business plan as well as to evaluate 2018 business performance and 2019 palm oil industry outlook.The meeting, which was held in Bandung, 14 to 16 November 2018, focused on the theme "Palm oil outlook 2019 and how CPO Fund contribute to the SDGs."Attendees at the meeting included staffs and officials of BPDPKS who tried to draw up blueprint on how to achieve national palm oil industry target. BPDPKS is also attempting to play more role in achieving the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which was the world\'s agenda to fulfil by 2030.
Earlier, President Joko Widodo has also urged palm oil industry to step up their actions on achieving the SDGs agenda by implementing at least five steps.Firstly, oil palm plantation management should be more environmentally friendly. Secondly, acceleration of smallholders\' oil palm plantations replanting program. Thirdly, export market has to be expanded. The fourth and fifth aspects, the President said, are to increase palm oil industry in downstream side and to implement expanded B20 mandatory program. ***
