B20 Purchase Order Must be Issued 14 Days in Advance

Government has decided that purchase order of biodiesel B20 must be issued by fuel companies and biofuel companies 14 days before delivery date at the latest. "We have decided that the purchase order must be issued 14 days in advance since we need to prepare transportation and vessels as well as to find ships to deliver from factories to the fuel depot," Director of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Djoko Siswanto said (20/9/2018), as quoted by detikcom. The main aim of the rule is to avoid gas station sell B0 because of they run out of B20.

Saturated Fatty Acids on Palm Oil is not a Cause of Heart Disease

The last annual meeting of Indonesian Occupational Medicine Specialist Association (Perdoki) in Yogyakarta has reaffirmed common view that palm oil is not a cause of heart disease. Prof Dr Ir Sri Raharjo MSc said the assumption that saturated fatty acids contained in palm oil can cause heart disease by increasing cholesterol is not entirely correct.

President Joko Widodo has signed Presidential Instruction (Inpres) number 8 year 2018 concerning moratorium on new palm oil development and review of existing plantations as well as boost the productivity of palm oil plantations. The Inpres signed on 19 September 2018 ordered all central and provincial governments, including governors, mayors and district chiefs to re-evaluate permits.

The President Instruction on Oil Palm Plantation Moratorium

PRESIDEN Joko Widodo has signed a Presidential Instruction (Inpres) concerning moratorium on new palm oil development and ordered a review of existing plantations as well as boost the productivity of palm oil plantations. The Inpres signed on 19 September 2018 ordered all central and provincial governments, including governors, mayors and district chiefs to to re-evaluate permits. To minister of Environment and Forestry, Presiden Jokowi instructs to postpone the release or the exchange of forest areas for palm oil plantations.

The House Speaker Agrees to Review Oil Palm Plantations
