Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is established to provide policy direction in carrying out the duties of the Plantation Fund Management Agency. This committee has the following main responsibilities:

  • Formulating policies related to the collection and utilization of funds, including fund management to achieve sustainable added value.
  • Supervising the implementation of policies regarding fund collection and utilization.

Membership Composition

The Steering Committee consists of:

Chairperson:

  • Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs

Members:

  • Minister of Agriculture
  • Minister of Finance
  • Minister of Industry
  • Minister of Trade
  • Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources
  • Minister of State-Owned Enterprises
  • Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas

Involvement of Other Parties

In carrying out its duties, the Steering Committee may:

  • Involve ministries, agencies, local governments, and other relevant parties.
  • Appoint key resource persons (prominent figures) from:
    • Palm oil plantation business actors
    • Industry players using palm oil-based raw materials
    • Exporters of palm oil commodities and/or their derivatives

Steering Committee Secretariat

To support the execution of its duties, the Steering Committee is assisted by a Secretariat. The composition and responsibilities of the Secretariat are determined by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs as the Chairperson of the Steering Committee.
