THE government is planning to speed up use of fuel with 30 percent bio content (B30).

PRESIDENT Director of the Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund (BPDPKS) Dono Boestami invited all stakeholders in palm oil industry in Indonesia to improve palm oil governance, particularly on its data base.

THAILAND is going to implement policy to use biodiesel in power plants and heavy vehicles in order to reduce 190.000 metric ton palm oil surplus. National News Bureau reported that the national palm oil policy committee is going to help reduce the 190,000-metric-ton palm oil surplus by diverting 160,000 tons towards biodiesel production that will then be used for electricity production at the Ratchaburi and Bangpakong Power Plants. Additionally, the committee is calling for uptake of B20 in large vehicles and Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, a Thailand energy company, will begin to distribute the fuel.

MALAYSIA will implement B10 program starting from 1 December 2018 and will make it mandatory from February 2019.

AUTOMOTIVE producer PT Isuzu Astra Motor has reiterated that Isuzu vehicles are ready to run on B30, fuel with 30 percent biodiesel content.
