A joint mission from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Colombia traveled to Brussels, Belgium, 8 to 9 April 2019, to voice their objection to the European Union\'s delegated act that discriminates palm oil.

MAKSI, BPDPKS, Aprobi Hosted Studium Generale on Biofuel

The Indonesian Oil Palm Society (MAKSI) supported by the Indonesia Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) and Indonesian Biofuel Producers Association (Aprobi) organized a studium generale on Indonesia\'s biofuel development, Wednesday (10/4/2019). Themed "The Latest Progress of Biofuel Development from Crude Palm Oil and Palm Kernel Oil," initial general lecturer was held at Riset Perkebunan Nusantara (RPN) hall, Bogor, West Java.

Palm Oil Producing Countries Visit Brussels to Fight Discriminatory Delegated Act

The joint mission of the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) visited Brussels to convey their disappointment and to fight the delegated act put forward by the European Commission. Indonesian Coordinating Economic Minister Darmin Nasution said at a press conference that Indonesia will review relationship with the EU as a whole, as well as its member states.

Indonesian Delegation Arrives in Brussels for Palm Oil Negotiation

COORDINATING Economic Minister Darmin Nasution led Indonesian delegation to Brussels, 8-9 April 2019, in a joint mission with Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) to discuss palm oil with EU representatives. On a press release, (8/4/20190), Darmin said the mission is aimed to respond to the delegated act adopted by the EU which categorizes palm oil as a vegetable oil posing a higher risk of deforestation than other vegetable oils.
