Palm Oil Cake, West Sumatera\'s Top Commodity Export

West Sumatera, one of the largest agricultural producers in Indonesia, has made palm oil cake its top commodity export as the province shipped 10 thousand tons palm oil cake to New Zealand. Palm oil cake is palm oil waste that can be used as raw material in the preparation of poultry rations.

Biodiesel Price Index for March 2019 Set Higher at Rp7.403

MINISTRY of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) has announced biofuel Market Price Index (MPI) for period of March 2019, included for biodiesel which is set at Rp7.403 per liter and bioethanol Rp10.167 per liter.

CPOPC Expresses Concern Over Delegated Regulation of the EUs RED II

Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) has agreed to take a stand on the proposed Delegated Regulation Supplementing Directive 2018/2001 of the EU Renewable Energy Directive II. At the 6th Ministerial Meeting of CPOPC in Jakarta (28/2/2019), the ministers agreed to jointly address discriminatory measures arising from the proposed Delegated Regulation.

Govt Continues to Temporarily Halt CPO Export Levy

Steering Committee of the Indonesia Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) has decided to continue halting CPO export levy, though the current CPO price reference stands above threshold which allows government to collect the levy. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution explained that the trade ministry\'s CPO reference price for March 2019 stand at US$ 595 per ton or above a threshold of US$ 570 per ton.
