MINISTER of National Development Planning Bambang Brodjonegoro reiterated his view that palm oil Industry has contributed in improving smallholder livelihoods rural Indonesia. More than 16.2 million people make a living from palm oil. The number consist of 4.2 million direct labors and 12 million indirect labors.In this case, Bambang expected to increase palm oil development so that the industry can absorb more workers. "We are expecting palm oil development could double number of workers by 2030," Bambang said at 14th Indonesian Palm Oil Conference and 2019 Price Outlook in Nusa Dua, Bali (2/11/2018).Bambang also invited palm oil industry, both businesspeople or smallholders, to contribute more to implement Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). "The two parties play significant role in implementing \'no one left behind\' principle and inclusivity in SDGs in oil palm plantation sector," Bambang said.According to him, the SDGs also requires all parties to participate to lift people from poverty, to protect the Earth, and to ensure all human beings can live in peace and prosper until the year 2030. \`I call upon all parties to support implementation of SDGs in Indonesia.\` ***
